What is Psychotherapy?

If you are stressed, tearful, having difficulty sleeping or eating...

Lacking in direction or struggling to control your temper...

Or have persistent low mood or difficulties in your relationships at home or at work...

Then you could probably benefit from seeing a psychotherapist.

Psychotherapy is a private conversation with a sympathetic professional where you can talk about the difficulties you are having and find solutions. You can reach a better understanding of yourself and your relationships, and learn how to handle your life more confidently and calmly.

Timescales are flexible to suit the help you need. Where problems are relatively recent and clearly defined, work can be time limited. More complex and long standing difficulties are likely to take longer.
